Minister of State for Petroleum Mossadegh Malik said that OGDCL and Mari Petroleum engaged in the exploration of natural resources in North Waziristan, Laki Marwat and Bannu district provided employment to many local people in these areas. Is.

Malik said these companies were contractually bound to employ local people.

He referred the matter to the concerned standing committee.

Durrani ordered that gas be first supplied to the area where it was discovered.

Answering various questions during the question period 

Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Dr. Ayesha Ghos Pasha said that we should move towards self-reliance and develop strategies to overcome economic challenges.

"Despite criticism, the government has taken various steps to move towards self-reliance, and the allocation of Rs 3.9 trillion for debt repayment is one of the many such steps," the Minister of State told the House.

Dr. Pasha said that the government is taking concrete steps to facilitate the Islamic banking system in the country. "Islamic banking had seen strong growth over the years due to the State Bank's key role in creating an enabling environment for its expansion," he said.

Dr. Pasha also said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is making efforts to simplify the tax system in the country. "A large part of the national economy was undocumented, so the government was making efforts to expand the tax net and a plan was drawn up in this regard."

In response to a question, the minister said that there is no official data available on the total volume or value of cryptocurrency purchased by Pakistanis during the last three years.

"Cryptocurrency is a new mechanism but State Bank is not regularizing it as allowing crypto business in Pakistan will not bring any economic value or benefit to the country."
